This Broadway phenomenon tells the ever-so-true story of how Oz came to be without Dorothy (or mostly, anyway), and it all started in witch school. Now heres the part that you can relate to: In this university setting there are popular kids (Glinda) and terribly unpopular kids (Elphaba), and their respective social status locations are dictated in part by their physical appearance and in part by their upbringings. But from there, all bets are off. Theres a corrupt government to address, allegiances to form, and many, many songs to be sung. Can two young witches save Oz from itself? Will Glinda win homecoming queen? Will Elphaba ever get a boyfriend? Youll have to go back to school and find out.
